There are Central Stations.

And there are … train swallowing cathedrals. One of them you’ll find in Antwerpen.

As I came from Rotterdam – where they are busy building a modern cathedral version of a train station – I was architectonically twice impressed.

My next project: shooting the most wonderful Central Stations around the world! (If I’ll find somebody to pay it… )

There it is: the door. In the middle of the buzzing city center of Antwerpen. The door looks like … a door. No sign on it, nothing. Enter. Follow the steps. Each one of it brings you years and years and years back in the history. Open the next door – welcome to the Wine Cellar 1550! – and you feel like being part of a movie. One of those who show the times when the VOC was conquering the worlds economy. When witches where haunted. When Napoleon ruled in Europe – and some people say he also has been there … probably drinking wine, I guess ;-) !

Okay, back to modern times: There I was … shooting the event “Unearthing Georgian Wine” – with Helmut Hetzel and Geowine. There was almost no light. And I tried to keep this atmosphere alive using as less flash light as possible.

And, by the way, georgian wine tastes great!

Also gibt man sich ihm hin.
