It is windy, it is cold – but it’s is also a big pleasure to live next to the sea … even if it is the North Sea. Okay, this is for all those who knew me before: YES, I felt a little more cosy when I was living in Spain, near the Mediterranean Sea. BUT also here I love strolling over the beach, in the harbour or nearby. Mostly when the sun is diving into the cold water and the birds are dancing in the coloured sky …

It was a very small and private ceremony – which made it for me even more romantic to be part of it – when Alexander and Daina registered they partnership in the town hall in Wassenaar. It was the quickest wedding I ever shooted. We had more or less 15 minutes. But even in this short time you can see and feel that love was in the air!

Once upon a time Andrea lived in Spain (no, this is not a fairy tale). Everybody who once saw the typical spanish rituals of the “Semana Santa” knows which special feelings the splendour of the holy processions creates. The most amazing ones (in my modest opinion) are celebrated in Sevilla, Zamora and Orihuela.

This year I visited Good Friday a eastern procession in my little ex home-village Altea (a wonderful place, you will see!). While taking pictures for a magazine, I was … against my expectation … continously fighting against the tears.

Maybe it was because such a long time had passed since I last saw a Semana Santa procession. Maybe because such a big wave of emotions escorts the slow walk of the penitents. Maybe the music which defines their solemn rhythm carried me away … or everything about it.

I don’t know. It was impressing and great.

In our first photo session – still hidden in Kirsten’s beautiful belly – Storm was already the star of the shooting  (Curious? Take a look at the older posts!). Yesterday the little big man came to visit me for his first official shooting.

It was great! I never ever ever saw a baby with such an amazing mimic.

This was one thing.

The other one: Storm loves eating fingers. His own or those of somebody else. BUT! While we’ve been shooting, Storm found  down there …, somewhere at the other end of his cute naked body …,  something unbelievable …, magic …., fascinating …, obviously the most incredible thing in the world: his TOES!!

Discovering them he reacted like “Storm in the Wonderland”. Without stopping to admire them. And – of course! – taste them! Hmmm, en wat lekker!

In short: We had a lot of fun and I am looking forward seeing this very special guy, little Mr. Eat-my-feet, uuhm, sorry, Storm, growing up! ANDREA EGE Photography Storm

Spring arrived! The first warm sun let’s explode the plants – and there is nothing more wonderful than a nice walk through the forest with all those little leaves looking shy in the sun and observing the landscape getting one more shimmer of green with every step you take. I wonder each your how beautiful it looks!  And for everybody who wonders about the sharpness of the pictures: I want them exactly like to be like this…

What happens if you take two wonderful girls, several bags full of confetti, a lot of balloons and teeny-weeny softballs, healthy “snoepjes” and a big bunch of good mood to the studio? You get really funny “Kids and the Colours of Carneval” photos – and a studio that looks afterwards … well … uuhmm … interesting! I would do it immediately again!

And thanks to my photography partner John van Zanten for his wonderful assistance, the great studio and our creative cooperation. Details you will find here: www.lovelymoments.nl
